While Congress is often deadlocked on legislation, there’s lots of action happening at the state level. From immigration and healthcare to gun control, state houses and governors are approving new laws that impact the way we live, sometimes far more than the laws our federal legislature agonize over.

In October, we’ll be looking at these proposals every Monday during the show’s second hour, which starts at 11 ET.

We’ve already covered state trends in gun legislation around the country. We tackled redistricting efforts. As the series continues, we’ll talk about health care, labor unions and attempts to crack down on sexual misconduct in the workplace.
